Jessica M. Shiveley MSW, LCSW

Hi There! My name is Jess, and I am so glad you have stopped by my page. Here I will share a little bit about myself, including my education and experience, as well as my philosophy on healing.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Colorado. Since I was little, I knew my calling was to teach and heal. Having dealt with my own trauma and trials, I felt even more called to help others. I enter my practice having gone through my own healing, and finding this has helped me to connect on a deeper level with my clients. I am able to bring my years of professional experience, blended with my own personal experiences and healing, to create an experience that is unique and comforting to those I have been honored to counsel and support.

Education:

I completed my BSW (Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work) at Nebraska Wesleyan University, followed by my MSW (Master’s Degree in Social Work) at the University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO).

Experience:

I have had experience in a wide range of behavioral health settings including in-home behavioral services, In-patient Psychiatric Care, Medical Social Work, District-Wide School Social Worker, College Professor, Group and Individual Therapy, as well as various Public Speaking events throughout the United States.

I’ve worked directly as an individual and couples therapist for the past 5 years, working with a variety of backgrounds and issues. Throughout this time, I have gained even further insight into the human experience, and dove deeper into my own journey, diving further into finding my true authentic self & purpose, which also required my own true self-love journey. Through this professional and personal experience, I felt called to create my own practice HEARTFELT HOLISTIC HEALTH that encompassed a new approach, one that goes further than the symptom or what we can see, and dives deeper, into the ‘root’ of what is going on, thus the journey of one’s true healing.

Philosophy:

At Heartfelt Holistic Healing, I believe that true healing involves more than just treating symptoms; it requires a holistic approach that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. I emphasize the importance of mindfulness, being present in the moment, and being in touch with oneself in order to promote self-awareness and self-love. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that when we learn to accept ourselves for who we are, we can begin to let go of negative self-talk and beliefs that may be holding us back. I believe that breathwork is essential to the healing process, as it helps us connect with our bodies and release tension and stress. Finally, I recognize that true healing requires dedication and commitment to the process, and I work with each one of my clients to create a personalized plan that supports their goals and needs.

I find the journey to self-discovery and self-love to be the most important, yet hardest journey one will go on.

I firmly believe we all have potential and value. Furthermore, I believe that the self is the true healer and that I only am a guide along the way. We all have the power to heal within ourselves, we need to tap into that energy and reconnect again. Reconnect with ourselves, with the healing power of nature, and with those around us (family, friends, etc.).
